About The Book
Untangle is for my courageous clients, my family & friends, my colleagues, and for the women and men, I might not ever have the opportunity to meet. None of us can undo the past, but we can address our most persistent roadblocks and gather resources that help us feel safe and grounded in order to start thriving. Untangling is the key to freedom.
This book is a journey of holistic self-discovery including practical strategies of psychology, neuroscience, behavioral therapy and nature exploration that leads to wellness and freedom.
Angela McKinney
For the past twenty years, Angela McKinney has been transforming people's lives, including her own, as a practitioner, educator, and somatic guide. Angela is an addiction recovery expert and speaker on habits, decision-making, and continuous growth. Her 3-Step mind-body system, The Untangle Method™, combines research in the neurobiology of trauma with a creative approach to improving the quality of our lives.
Angela engineered this method by posing and researching such questions as: How can our fragility become reshaped into resources of resilience? How can we become safe enough to engage our lives from a place of authenticity and help our bodies, minds, and spirits receive successes (both large and small)? How can we negotiate the space between the part of us that is terrified of change and the part of us that is hungry for change to build an integrated, whole system?
Untangle: How to Create Big Possibilities Through Small Changes, will guide readers through this process with accessible, sensitive lessons and candid stories.
Angela McKinney received her clinical psychology degree from Antioch University.
